BBC3 went from being a common flow channel for young people to become an online channel a year ago. Editor Max Gogarty are telling about the transformation and what it means for content and rating.
In 2014, it was suggested that BBC3 should stop as a regular traditional channel and continue as an internet TV platform with less program budget and with focus on short productions. Although there was much public resistance, BBC3 went on air the last time as a traditional TV channel in February 2016 with a episode of "Gavin & Stacey" presented by James Corden - and then the screen became black.
Editor Max Gogarty will tell how the transformation has been. And how it affects the content. Should others go in their footsteps or is it a bad turn? Is this the future of all traditional TV channels?
